FAQs - New Artists

What is A&B?

A&B is an online coaching platform that connects people and artists around the world. Individuals are able to book 1-on-1 lessons with you, and organizations can book group masterclasses. Online classes are taught over Zoom. You choose your prices and what you want to teach. Anyone can book with you instantly through your special artist link.

Does A&B take a fee?

Yes. A&B’s fee structure is designed to be low, reasonable, and competitive with industry standards. The majority of class costs go directly to you.

  • A&B’s platform fee is 25% per class.

There are no other fees. All fees are deducted from your chosen class prices, so transparency is always clear. Our fees are used to cover admin costs and ongoing promotion so the world can connect and learn from you.

Does A&B promote?

Yes! We have client relationships and actively promote worldwide through all marketing channels and site traffic. Many people who visit our site book with multiple artists, and our reach is growing every day.

We’re also designed to be used in conjunction with your social media accounts. This helps you benefit from your existing following, as well as the posts of other artists. Many clients will visit your Instagram before booking, and if they see that you've posted a video about coaching, that will empower them.

This joint effort helps people feel a real, genuine connection and that's the attitude we're cultivating through our platform!

Can I set my own prices?

Yes! You decide what you want to charge and what lengths of classes you want to teach. A&B’s fee comes out of your advertised class prices, so feel free to adjust to your liking.

I already coach. Why should I use A&B?

We get it. Coaching is very personal, and it’s taken this long to develop a platform to make your life easier. Every improvement we make is because of you.

  • First and foremost, it’s about you. You’re not pushing a ‘brand’ or ‘program’ agenda, you are simply doing what you do and benefitting from the platform’s accessibility.

  • You set your own prices and what you want to teach, which lets you maintain control.

  • Your artist profile link acts as a digital business card and gives the world a seamless way to book with you. It also helps you maximize your social media reach without having to answer any emails or DMs.

  • Managing your own coaching is cumbersome with emails and scheduling. You have better things to do.

  • The percentage we take is less than what you’d spend on your own. Booking software, monthly fees, Zoom Pro account, the assistant you pay to answer your emails… it adds up.

  • We know teachers. Educators trust us because we know how to pair the best artist for their needs. You should be one of them!

How does payment work?

  • US-citizen artists are paid weekly via direct deposit through Square. Payments will be labeled in your bank account under “Square Inc Payroll.”

  • Non US-citizen artists are paid weekly via PayPal. We are currently in the process of developing international direct deposit solutions and will update you as that becomes available!
