Getting Paid
Does A&B charge a fee?
Yes. A&B’s fee structure is designed to be low, reasonable, and competitive with industry standards. The majority of class costs go directly to you.
A&B’s platform fee is 25% per class.
There are no other fees. All fees are deducted before funds are transferred to your linked bank account.
Why 25%? A&B is changing the face of online coaching. Our fees allow us to manage and maintain our unprecedented platform, while also staying integrous to the value of your skills. Every development we make is designed to make your life easier and let the world know about what you offer.
How do I get paid?
US-citizen artists are paid weekly via direct deposit through Square. Payments will be labeled in your bank account under “Square Inc Payroll.”
Non US-citizen artists are paid weekly via PayPal. We are currently in the process of developing international direct deposit solutions and will update you as that becomes available!
When do I get paid?
Payments are processed on Fridays and account for the preceding week. Payments are made weekly based on when lessons are booked, not when they actually occur.
For example, if you received 5 new bookings during the week of April 12-18, you would be paid in full for those week on Friday, April 24, regardless of when the actual classes are scheduled to take place.
If, during the week of April 12-18, you taught classes but did not receive any new bookings, you would not receive a payment on Friday, April 24.
How do I set up direct deposit?
You will receive an email from Square Payroll with the subject line “[Action required] Set up your payroll account to get paid by Artists and Beyond.” Click “Set Up Your Account.”

I am incorporated. Can I receive payments to my business?
Yes. To link your business checking account to your Square Payroll account:
Set up direct deposit through Square Payroll.
When prompted to “Enter your bank account details,” select “Business Checking.”
This simply allows you to receive payments to your business. For tax purposes, A&B will always file according to your W9.
I already have a Square account, can I still sign up?
Yes.
Are taxes withheld from payments?
No. Taxes are not withheld from payments. You are an independent contractor.
US citizens will receive a 1099-MISC form at tax time.
Non-US citizens coaching from non-US locations will not receive US tax forms.
Are there any other hidden fees or anything else I need to know about?
Nope. There are no monthly, per-transaction, or hidden fees.
