How do I set up direct deposit?

  1. You will receive an email from Square Payroll with the subject line “[Action required] Set up your payroll account to get paid by Artists and Beyond.

  2. Click “Set Up Your Account.

  3. If the e-mail address through which you were invited to Square Payroll is associated with a Square Point of Sale or Cash App account, type in the e-mail address and enter in your existing password.

  4. If the e-mail address through which you were invited to Square Payroll has not been used for a Square Point of Sale or Cash App account, the e-mail address the invite was sent to will be pre-populated. Enter in and confirm your password.

  5. Click Continue.

  6. Fill in the requested personal information.

  7. If you are an employee in a state with optional state withholding details, Square will default to use your federal tax information unless you choose to provide separate state tax withholding details.

  8. Enter in your bank account details. If you have trouble locating this information, visit Add Your Bank Account on the Square website.

  9. Click Done to complete your direct deposit setup. You will be taken to your dashboard, which will display your pay stubs once you receive pay through Square Payroll.

Can I receive payments to my business?

Yes. To link your business checking account to your Square Payroll account:

  1. Set up direct deposit through Square Payroll.

  2. When prompted to “Enter your bank account details,” select “Business Checking.”

This simply allows you to receive payments to your business. For tax purposes, A&B will always file according to your W9.
